The Red River Valley Foundation provides grant opportunities for Greater Red River Valley Area organizations—these grants fund projects for charitable, educational, or social improvement activities. 

Our annual application window is January 1st - March 31st, but will consider applications for emergency funding on a case-by-case basis as funding allows.

Activities:


This grant may only be used for Grantee’s charitable, educational, and social improvement activities.  The grant may be used solely for the specific activities as agreed to by Grantee and RRVF.


Grantee may not use any of the grant funds to lobby or to otherwise influence legislation, to influence the outcome of any public election, to carry on voter registration drive, or any other activities which might jeopardize the status of RRVF as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.


The Grantee agrees to notify RRVF in writing in any changes in key personnel, address, phone number, and any development that significantly affects the Project or Grantee.


Public Relations

The Grantee agrees to credit the participation of RRVF in any advertisement publicity or public comment related to the project.


Intellectual Property

RRVF and Grantee agree that any copyright and other interests in materials produced as a result of this grant shall be owned by the Grantee organization.


Funding 

RRVG will provide the Grantee with a check for grant amount within fifteen days after approval of signing of this Agreement.  The Grantee will expend the grant funds for the purposes described in Attachment A, according to the budget described in Attachment B.


The Grantee will return any unused funds to RRVF at the end of the grant period unless Grantee has received written permission from RRVF to keep the unused funds for specified purposes.


Reporting

The Grantee will report to RRVF in interim report halfway through the project to include a description of the activities of the Project, what has been accomplished and a record of expenditures to date.  The Grantee will submit a final report to RRVF within one month of the end of the grant period, describing in full the activities of the Project, what the Project has accomplished, what if anything remains to be done, and a full accounting of expenditures of grant funds.


Evaluation 

For purposes of evaluating the effectiveness of the grant, RRVF may meet with key personnel of the Grantee organization and may review project or equipment.


Termination

RRVF may, after notice to the Grantee, cancel its participation in the Project if RRVF finds that the Grantee has failed to make substantial progress in the completion of the Project or has failed to comply with the terms of this Agreement.

  • Brochures

  • Balance sheet of organization

  • End of year revenue and expense statement from previous year

  • Project budget, revenues, and expenses
